It was a perfect Friday night for our Sub Junior teams, with all five Contax teams competing in Grand Finals coming away as Premiers.
SJ1, SJ2, SJ4, SJ5 and SJ6 each won their respective Grand Finals, completing an incredible clean sweep across the Sub Junior grades they featured in and capping off a fantastic season for our young Blues.
Among the five premierships was an impressive result from SJ2. After starting the season in SJ3, the team was promoted into SJ2 and embraced the challenge of playing a grade higher. They continued to perform strongly throughout the season, earning a place in the Grand Final before finishing it off with a premiership.
There was also plenty to celebrate for our SJ1(2) team. They too were moved up following regrading, earning promotion into the SJ1 division. After rising to the challenge of the top grade, they went on to qualify for finals and finish in an impressive fourth spot, a fantastic result.
Across our Sub Junior age group, the results are a great reflection of the work put in by our players, coaches, team managers and families throughout the season.
To have all six SJ teams make finals, five progress to Grand Finals and then all five win premierships is an outstanding result for Contax.
Congratulations to SJ1, SJ2, SJ4, SJ5 and SJ6, our 2026 Sub Junior Premiers and to SJ1 (2) on a fantastic season in the top division.
