Contax Netball Club is delighted to welcome Ali Clarke as our new Number One Ticket Holder.
A familiar name to many South Australians, Ali has built an extensive career across radio, television and journalism, but her connection to Contax goes back well before the microphones and cameras.
Ali is a past player of our club, making her appointment particularly special as we welcome one of our own back to the Blues in a new capacity.
The Number One Ticket Holder role recognises someone who shares a genuine connection with Contax and can help champion our club, our people and the opportunities netball provides. We are thrilled to have Ali take on the role and look forward to having her involved with the club and supporting our Blues from the sidelines.
We sincerely thank Ali for accepting the invitation to become our Number One Ticket Holder and for giving her time and support to Contax.
On returning to the Blues and taking on the role, Ali shared:
To the Contax family,Being named the Number One Ticket Holder is one of the great honours of my life. I’ve never reached the lofty heights of the athletes we celebrated last Friday night – not even close – but I’ve always believed that every single person who puts on a Contax uniform becomes part of something bigger than herself.This club has never just been about the stars on court. It’s about the kids who turn up nervous to their first training session, the parents who lug bags and fold bibs, the coaches who give their time, the volunteers who keep everything moving and the people who stay connected long after their playing days are done. It’s about belonging, contribution and pride in the blue dress – no matter what role you play.Contax shaped me in ways I’m still grateful for, and to be recognised in this way feels like being wrapped back into the very community that helped make me who I am. Thank you for trusting me with this honour. I’ll carry it with the same spirit this club has always shown; inclusive, determined, generous and fiercely proud.Once you’re part of Contax, you’re part of it forever. And I’m so proud to stand with all of you.
